Creating A Zen Garden

Creating A Zen Garden

Paper crafting is an excellent way to relieve stress and anxiety. To enhance the benefits, try creating this zen garden themed project to remind yourself (or a card recipient) of taking time to breathe. Our Lotus Rubber Cling Stamp along with our Poinsettia Candles Rubber Cling Stamp will create a perfect beautiful and peaceful theme. Also, you get to use the candles from a Christmas themed stamp any time of the year!

Stamp the Lotus Rubber Stamp once onto smooth, white card stock paper using black ink. Use a hybrid ink like Palette brand or Stazon because you will be coloring in with markers or water color pencils. This stamp design is perfect for coloring.....flowers & green leaves!

Next, stamp Poinsettia Candles Rubber Stamp 2 different times onto white, smooth card stock. You will be cutting out the candles to create extra ones around the lotus' lily pads.

It does not matter about stamping the poinsettia flowers at the bottom since you will be covering them up with the lotus image. The candles are easy to color in. Use any color you wish for the actual candle color and use yellow and orange coloring for the flames. Hint: add a bit of gold glitter glue for extra flare.

Place as many extra candles around the Lotus as you like. Add double paper strips across the candle as if they have a little ribbon on them.

We have a printable page with words like 'Peace' and 'Gratitude' for you to use in your next zen project. You can download the FREE pdf here: https://www.jpsdigital.com/deepredstamps/downloads...

I invite you to make a garden-theme zen card, or a 4x6 card for a journal or even a scrapbook page devoted to nothing but peace and tranquility.
